Nick Williams Workshop

Written by Admin 18 October 2012

There will be an intermediate level workshop with Nick Williams, a favorite Lindyfest instructor and world-recognized lindy hopper, on November 10-11. $50 per day at the 2nd floor of the Continental Club. Only since there's been some confusion, this is not an HSDS event, although it should be a great opportunity to learn from a true master of the craft! Follow up the first day of the workshop with our fabulous Harvest Moon Ball!

Hepcat and Prepcat Tryouts!

Written by Admin 06 October 2012

Are you interested in being a part of the HSDS performance teams?? We will be holding open auditions for both the Hepcats and Prepcats teams. These guys practice hard and play hard! You don't have to be an expert to try out for either team, by becoming a team member you'll work on improving all of your skills from choreography to social dancing to jam circle moves! Prepcat auditions are November 4th at the Melody Club and Hepcat auditions are November 7th at Discovery Gymnastics. Make sure to check out the event page to see what to expect for your try-outs! Good luck to all and swing out!

October's Elective

Written by Admin 06 October 2012

October's elective is "Taste of the Hepcats". Come learn some new choreography and get a taste for how the performance teams practice. This will be sure to get you in gear for the Hepcat/Prepcat auditions next month! Electives are every Sunday at 7:30pm.

Support Swing! The Documentary

The great people over at Swing! The Documentary have met their goal of raising over $100,000 for their production budget! But every contribution helps to bring this movie to reality and you can still help out! As an incentive to keep the donations rolling in, they are giving away great, one-of-a-kind items that may or may not be signed by the likes of Norma Miller, Jean Veloz, Chazz Young, Dawn Hampton, Sugar Sullivan, Barbara Billups and Sonny Allen!
