Harvest Moon Ball was a great success with hundreds of happy dancers enjoying the sounds of Old School Swing Band! Many thanks to the volunteers: Rita Strohl, JoAnne Wood, Cindy Portillo, Leah Ekstrom, Miss Gulf Coast, Larry Castro and to our organizers Ryan Strohl, from HSDS, and Tal Einav and Emily Watkins from Rice Social Dance Society!

Our resident photographer, David Holmes provided the photo-booth at Harvest Moon Ball and is sharing his photos here

This year's Harvest Moon Ball will be held September 26th, 2009. Houston's Harvest Moon Ball was created to honor the spirit of dedicated dancers, friendly competition and collaboration by bringing two dance groups together, HSDS and the Rice Social Dance Society.

It's a night to wear your sharpest clothing and dance the night away with great live music, performances, just-for-fun dance competitions and more! Purchase your tickets online (coming soon) at HSDS or Sunday nights at the Melody Club. Don't miss out on the portrait studio where you can pose in your favorite aerial or dance position. Don't miss out on great prizes and fun contests.
